NBA Draft June 28

The 2007 NBA Draft will be held on June 28, 2007 at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The draft will be broadcast in the United States on ESPN.

Eligibility Rules:

The new collective bargaining agreement between the league and its players union establishes a new age limit for draft eligibility. Unlike drafts in recent years, high school players will not be eligible for selection.

United States players must be at least one year removed from high school graduation.
All drafted players, regardless of nationality, must be born on or before December 31, 1988 (i.e., they must be at least 19 years old during the calendar year of the draft).

Underclassmen declaring for the draft

Underclassmen have until April 29 to declare eligibility for the draft, and have until one week before the draft to withdraw and retain their college eligibility. However, a player will lose his eligibility if:
a) He signs with an agent.
b) He has declared for and withdrawn from a previous NBA Draft.

Players at U.S. colleges automatically become eligible upon finishing their college eligibility.
