2016 Draft Profile - Egemen Guven

Strengths : Guven is an intriguing international prospect with solid skills and potential if he can continue to develop. He can potentially play both power forward and center as he has a frame that could easily add weight and strength.

He is extremely skilled on the low block with a soft touch around the basket. He has a nice array of floaters and turnaround jumpers that he can make consistently. He is also capable of stepping out to the mid-range and knocking down jumpers.

Defensively, he is agile and covers ground on the perimeter. He also has the length to protect the rim as a weakside shot blocker.

Weaknesses : Guven is still a relatively weak player who will struggle to score down low against physical defenders. He needs to fill out his frame to be able to consistently get his shots down low.

There have also been questions about his toughness as he tends to settle for floaters as opposed to aggressively attacking the basket. While he is capable of hitting from mid-range, he has a slow wind-up and release that will make it difficult to get off against top competition.

Guven has dealt with some injuries recently and will need to stay healthy in order to keep developing as his game seems to have stagnated over the last year.
