2021 NBA Draft Results Round 1
The 2021 NBA draft is in the books.
The draft started off as many expected. The Toronto Raptors at No. 4 gave us the fisrt surprise of the night by selecting Scottie Barnes over Jalen Suggs.
As usual there was plenty of fisrt round movement, with six trades being made to go along with the seven deals that were made beforehand.

# 16 - The Houston Rockets receive the Boston Celtics 2021 1st round (via Oklahoma) for two future 1st round picks (Washington's and Detroit's).
# 19 - The Charlotte Hornets receive the New York Knicks 2021 1st round pick for a future first-round pick.
# 21 and # 25 - The Los Angeles Clippers receive the Dallas Mavericks 1st round pick (via NYK) for a 2021 1st round pick (# 25) and Detroit's 2024 2nd round pick.
# 22 - Indiana receives the rights to Isaiah Jackson from Washington for Aaron Holiday and Milwaukee's 2021 2nd round pick (# 31). The Washington Wizards receive the Los Angeles Lakers 2021 1st round pick, Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl for Russell Westbrook, 2024 2nd round pick and a 2028 2nd round pick.
# 29 - The Brooklyn Nets receive the Phoenix Suns 2021 1st round pick and Jevon Carter for Landry Shamet.
# 30 - The Memphis Grizzlies receive the Utah Jazz 2021 1st round pick .

# 8 - The Orlando Magic receive the Chicago Bulls 2021 and 2023 1st round picks, Wedell Carter Jr. and Otto Porter Jr. for Nikola Vucevic and Al-Farouq Aminu.
# 18 - The Oklahoma City Thunder receive the Boston Celtics 2021 1st round pick, Kemba Walker and a 2025 2nd round pick for Al Horford, Moses Brown and a 2023 2nd round pick.
# 18 - The Oklahoma City Thunder receive the Miami Heat's 2021 1st round pick, Danilo Gallinari, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, 2022 1st rond pick (top 14 protected 2023 to 2025, unprotected 2026), Thunder's option to swap 2023 1st round pick with LAC, 2024 1st round pick, Thunder's option to swap 2025 1st round pick with LAC, and a 2026 1st round pick for Paul George, Thunder's option to swap 2023 and 2025 1st round picks.
# 21 - The New York Knicks receive the Dallas Mavericks 1st round pick (Top ten protected in 2023 to 2025, becomes a 2025 2nd round pick if not excerised), Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan and Wesley Matthews for Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr., Courtney Lee and Trey Burke.
# 23 - The Houston Rockets receive the Portland Trail Blazers 2021 1st round pick (Rockets have the option to swap picks POR, MIA, DET, Hou and OKC) with Nets, Victor Oladipo, Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, 2022 1st round pick (CLE), 2022 1st round pick (BRK), option to swap 2023 1st round pick with the Nets, 2024 1st round pick (BRK), option to swap 2025 1st round pick (HOU or OKC) with the Nets, 2026 1st round pick, option to swap 2023 1st round pick with the Nets and a traded player exception in a four-team trade with the Cleveland Cavalier, Indiana Pacers, Rockets and Nets for James Harden, Rockets option to swap 2021 1st round pick (POR, MIA, DET, HOU, and OKC) with Nets, Rockets option to swap 2023 1st round picks, 2023 2nd round pick (least favorable of MIA, DAL and HOU), Rockets option to swap 2025 1s round picks (HOU and OKC), Rockets option to swap 2027 1st round picks with the Nets, and a traded player exception.
