Position: PF/C
Team: Kentucky
Class: Freshman

2017 Draft Profile - Edrice Adebayo

Strengths: Bam Adebayo’s biggest strength is his strength. Not too many 19-year-olds have the raw strength that he does, but he is not most 190year-olds; he’s a man-child.

His pure size and strength makes him a defensive force, as he can box out anyone whenever he wants. He should be a double-double machine in the NBA.

Not many people can guard Adebayo on the block just because of how big and strong he is. He does not yet have any premiere post moves, although defenders still cannot stop him. He can finish at the rim with ease, and if often of the receiving end of alley-oops.

Weaknesses: He has a lot of offensive limitations, as he relies on his size to score. When he gets to the NBA and is being guarded by guys like DeAndre Jordan, Andre Drummond and all the other centers that are just as big as him, he does not have any post moves.

He also does not have any sort of jump shot and is a poor free throw shooter, so he is very limited offensively.

Defensively he gets a bit lazy on his rotations and defending the pick-and-roll. He has all the tools to be an elite paint protector, but he needs to commit himself on that end of the floor.
