Kevin O'Connor - The Ringer - June 17th: "Spicy shot creator with an ability to hit tough, contested jumpers or make crafty finishes at the rim. With his speedy, tight handle, he can be a handful to defend in isolation, but he also plays a seasoned style with pace in the pick-and-roll."

NBA Draft Room - June 16th: "A talented shot-maker with a sweet shooting stroke and great efficiency. Lacks size but can really play."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - May 30th: "KJ Simpson backed up the big stat lines at Colorado with a handful of blow-by drives, tough finishes and shotmaking during NBA combine scrimmages. He also got up for a 40.5-inch max vertical, which could help make up for the fact that he only measured 6'0" without shoes."
