2008 Draft Profile - DeAndre Jordan

Jordan could become the next GREAT big man. He will go high as his potential is off the charts. He's 7’0” and 255lb with great athleticism and the ability to dominate in the paint. It will take him years to develop an all around game, but if he focuses on rebounding and defense, everything else will come along in time. A special player here.


Draft Profile provided by: Brian Mazique - A rare athlete and specimen for a 7 footer, his game and focus must catch up to his physical ability. A difficult kid to pass up in a draft, considering the ceiling for a true footer like this, with great athleticism. The concern with Jordan is that he has yet to dominate on the collegiate level. He is a project at this point, any NBA team drafting him would be hard pressed to get more from him than a few highlight reel dunks, blocks and a ton of foul trouble. Give him a season or two more seasoning, allowing him to either gain discipline or fizzle out and then we would have a clearer picture of the next dominant big men in the NBA or Johan Petro.
