2008 Draft Profile - Trent Plaisted

Plaisted is the typical lumbering center of yesteryear. He can't jump, run the court or handle the ball with any proficiency. What he can do is shoot the ball with Kevin McHale-type moves and forward would be a better fit for the NBA. He lacks maturity and skills which means he is coming out a year too early. He also hasn't proven himself as a winner yet with BYU once again bowing out in the first round of the tournament. He would make a good role player, filling in minutes off of the bench to rest a starter. Unless a team is desperate for a big, he will likely go late second or sign on with a team for summer camp.
