2009 Draft Profile - Jeff Teague
Teague has been rocketing up the boards and now finds himself in the top 10, potentially hitting the top 5. Initial questions if he can play the point have apparently been answered so far this season. With a month to go in the season he’s averaging over 20 pts and almost 4 RPG and 4 APG, shooting over 50% from both the field and from behind the arc.Explosive point guard with an quick first step in either direction, and can break down defenses. Has the ability to score from anywhere on the court. Takes the ball to the rim, has a good jump shot, and the range to hit the three. Can find the open court. Gets to the line often where he’s shooting over 82%
Not a true point guard. Isn’t the biggest point guard at 180 pounds. Needs to cut down on the turnovers and improve his play on the defensive end.
