2009 Draft Profile - Damion James

Damion James has an average height for a shooting guard/ small forward has to put down some weight. Throughout his freshman year he averaged 8 points to go along with 7 rebounds. Playing side to side with Kevin Durant and D.J Augustin gave Damion bigger influence. As Kevin Durant left for the NBA draft, Damion stepped up to the role to help D.J Augustin to share the Big 12 title. he averaged 13 points to go with 10 rebounds. Some say he is one of the most athletic players in college basketball ( Dick Vitale). James is one of the multi talented players shooting over 43% from the arc. For James to be a top 20 player, the basketball IQ and the ball handling needs to improve.
