2010 Draft Profile - Elliot Williams
Elliot Williams is a lanky 2 guard who has exceptional defense. Williams played one year at Duke, but transfered to Memphis because of family reasons. Williams played at the end of the season for Duke and provided a noticeable boost to their game. Williams was not a major scoring option at Duke, but his lanky defense and his quickness/agility were both major assets. When playing at Memphis, Elliot Williams emerged as a number one scoring option averaging nearly 18 points. Williams has potential in the NBA because of his athleticism and possible potential. The potential of Williams in the NBA will most likely be a ten minute contributer in his rookie season and possibly a starting role in a few years. If Williams can adjust his game to the next level, he will be an important piece to any team that picks him up.
