Willie WarrenHt/Wt: 6-4 / 207 lbs
2010 Draft Profile - Willie WarrenWarren is a solid guard prospect, although it's hard to project what position he'll play in the pros. He's a little undersized to play the two guard, although we have seen players such as Eric Gordon and Ben Gordon have success at that position despite their lack of height. If Warren cannot catch on at the 2, he's going to have to show a willingness to handle the ball and a certain degree of unselfishness in order to play the point. Warren is an excellent offensive player, with the explosiveness to score in bunches. He had to shoulder a lot of the scoring load at Oklahoma, which often led him to take bad shots. However, his range and ability to get to the basket will be attractive to a team looking for instant scoring off the bench.
The one thing that might set Warren apart from other scoring guards will be his ability to defend. If he cannot keep up with quicker point guards or body up with bigger, stronger shooting guards he will likely fall to the 2nd round and be shipped to the D-League.
