Xavier HenryHt/Wt: 6-6 / 220 lbs
2010 Draft Profile - Xavier HenryThe X man is what they call him, and with a jumpshot like his, X definitely marks the spot. A potential one and done prospect with huge longterm upside. Has a linebackers body and knows how to throw his weight around while attacking the hoop. He comes from a basketball family and was taught the game at a young age, with very polished skills and high profile repetation. You just don't see many Freshman with Henry's makeup of build, swagger and leadrship intangables. He may not be the best athlete around, but he is a lot more athletic than what he is given credit for. Started the season scoring at a high volume, but during mid season his confidence seemed to dip as he started to defer to the upperclassmen on his team. Henry has the kind of game that translates to the NBA, with a knack for scoring in bunches. Shows that he has some breakdown the defense ability, but needs to solidify his handle a little more.
Strenghts: NBA ready body. A confident shooter with nice rotation, and a smooth release. Maturity at a young age. Plays for a great college system under Bill Self.
Weaknesses: Lateral quickness. Some teams might not be impressed with the bulk of his frame. Not a freak athlete
Outlook: Depending on which team Henry gets drafted by, he should have instant success. His style of play is suited for a uptempo offense such as the west coast, that likes to get out and run. With his jumper, he can stretch and torch a defense. Im not so sure he will be a allstar in the league, but will provide great production.
