2011 Draft Profile - Chandler Parsons

Is coming into the NBA draft with a lot of college experience and good coaching. He is a versatile team player. A long and lean 6 ft 10, he runs the floor and shoots the ball well, unselfish, and a good passer. Was SEC player of the year on the first place team.

Parsons has a good college skill set that does not translate well to the NBA. In the college game he is an athletic PF that runs the floor well and has good range, but in the NBA he would only play PF if the coach is ok with having a small lineup. His shooting, athleticism and strength are not NBA level for a wing. Did not make much of a defensive impact in college.

Chandler will have to add strength and continue to improve his shooting range and accuracy. He has more of a euro league game and that or d-league is where I see him playing most of his career. Best comparison I can think of is Steve Novak but he has to add muscle and improve 3pt shooting to meet that comparison.
