2011 Draft Profile - Chris Singleton
Old school player. His stats don’t jump at you but his presence makes the team better. One of the best defenders in the nation. At 6ft9 230, he has good size and explosiveness, crafty and aggressive. Among conference leaders in rebounds, blocks and steals. Ideal SF in the NBA, can probably play PF, may be able to defend the 2-5. Plays good man defense and even better help D. His shooting improved each year with 3pt range. A guy coaches and teammates like.Does not have a great offensive game. A bit of tweener. He lacks ideal foot speed for a SF, slightly undersized at the PF. He will not be a guy teams run plays for, but will find his offense on the glass or when plays break down or on fast break. Capable shooter but needs to improve or could be a liability on offense. As long as he stays healthy I think this is a player that a team will love as long as they are not expecting a prolific scorer. Think Derrick McKey.
NBA comparison- Derrick McKey / Shane Battier
