Class: Sophomore

2011 Draft Profile - Darius Morris

I like the way Morris plays PG and think he has a pretty good ceiling. He really helped get UM going in the right direction this last season. At 6ft 4 200lbs he has ideal size for the PG position and should have a strength advantage over most at his position and probably could defend SG which gives the coach flexibility if the coach wants to play him with a smaller guard. He made tremendous improvement his soph season in a difficult conference he was a scoring treat and conference assist leader, he has good shot selection and protects the ball well. Good feel for the game. A good all around offensive game for a PG, decent upside as a defender, Miller is a winner and still improving.

Darius can pressure the defense but only average quickness for NBA PG standards. Offensive minded he will to take more pride in his defense at the next level. Below average outside shooter and FT shooter but did improve this last season.

Miller will probably come into the league as a back up PG but has the potential to be a starter. He does not have the athleticism of the elite class of NBA PGs but his size, strength, vision and steady play makes his team better.

NBA comparison- Alvin Williams.
