2012 Draft Profile - Doron Lamb
Doron Lamb out of New York city and Oak Hill Academy has provided UofK with the type of shooter every team needs to combat zones and lane packing maneuvers. Primarily plays the SG role but proved to be more than an adequate back-up at the one position to Kentucky's last two point guards, Brandon Knight and Marquis Teague. He has obviously benefitted from Coach John Calipari's dribble drive offense and shown that his game is not just limited to being a spot up long range shooter but he can take the ball to the rim, finish and draw the foul or pull up for the mid-range jumper. The drafting team would be rewarded with a player who has consistently displayed excellent shooting stats on all levels and projects to give the team options at SG, PG and some wing play. Players with a gifted shooting touch are hard to come by and he also has the plus of being durable, playing in all of his teams 78 games in the past two years. Make no mistake, Doron is the best Lamb in this draft.Player profile submitted by: R. Scott Howard
