2012 Draft Profile - LeBryan NashNash is the very definition of upside, and because of that GMs are going to be drooling about the sophmore even as they worry about his obvious weaknesses. Nash at 6'7" and 235 is a mature physical presence, and his power inside is undeniable. Even at the NBA level, Nash figures to be able to body up and find his spot with relative ease. The problems though are numerous. First off his shot is flat, and his mechanics still need a lot of work. His decision making is also questionable. Watching Nash means one is going to see a lot of not just misses, but BAD misses, total bricks. He is shooting only 39%. He also lacks real handle at this point. On the defensive end, Nash 'should' be an elite defender, he has all the physical tools, but in fact his stats defensively are very poor. Again, this can be corrected if Nash works at it. There is no denying his elite talent --- he is an exceptional athlete and very strong for his position. The biggest worry is that Nash hasn't improved any of these areas so far. Where he goes in the draft is going to depend on his working hard enough to show improvement. Nash could carve a career just as an elite defender if he chooses to really focus on those skills. His shooting may never be fixed because his basic stroke, frankly, looks broken.
