2012 Draft Profile - Nemenja Nedovic

Its always hard to get a full read of an international player. But Nedovic has been playing professionally since he was seventeen. So in his case, itsa bit easier to see how he has developed and just how close to NBA ready he is. Nedovic immediately brings to mind Goran Dragic. They are roughly the same size (Nedovic is a lot stronger) and play a similar game. Nedovic is an excellent passer. In fact, at times he looks a bit like Rubio, which suggests he might have been studying the young Spaniard's game a bit. Nedovic is unusual in that he has good length and toughness on the defensive end, and will contest shots at any opportunity. His shooting is good, not great. He can pull up and nail his shot, but his range is limited. That, of course, could improve. He is at his best going to the hoop off cuts, and his strength is an asset here as well. The most important aspect to his game, in terms of the NBA, is his quickness on defense. If you watch any video of Nedovic, you see he is plenty quick enough. He may not be Ty Lawson, but he's certainly in the Dragic range. Still young, still growing, Nedovic is going to get a lot of attention come draft time. The question is only if he wants to come to the US right now.
