2015 Draft Profile - Mouhammadou Jaiteh

Strengths
Jaiteh has a great combination of size and length, coming into the draft with an NBA ready frame standing at 6-foot-11 with a wingspan that stretches over 7-foot-4. He is an excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor, due to not only his height but his knack to hustle for loose balls, something coaches will love at the next level. Jaiteh has a soft touch for his size, being able to create on his own in the post and extend to the mid-range.

He has a high-release on his shot that helps him keep the ball up, another skill coaches love to see their big men do. Jaiteh has also improved his footwork and decision-making this past year, being able to work in the paint and also shooting from mid-range.

Jaiteh seems like a long-term project, but his size alone will get him drafted in the second round.

Weaknesses
Despite his great size, Jaiteh is not an outstanding athlete which hurts him in a number of ways. He struggles to get shots up over athletes that can challenge him, and he is unable to effectively guard anyone on the perimeter due to a lack of lateral quickness.

Offensively, he is extremely raw and is still developing a basketball IQ. He struggles to know on where to be on the court and when to dish out to open players. He is very mechanical and plodding and he doesn't have the greatest motor to make up for his lack of athleticism.

He's putting up decent numbers, but in the B league of France so it's difficult to judge. Overall, he's a work in progress on both ends but has good size to get him drafted in the second round.
