2015 Draft Profile - Nikola Milutinov

Milutinov has a solid combination of size and fundamentals that he will bring into the NBA. Although being close to seven feet tall, he is very mobile - both with and without the ball. He's always active offensively, constantly screening or working hard to get position down low. He is very aggressive when coming off pick-and-roll, slashing to get a high percentage shot.

Milutinov also has great footwork for a big, using a variety of shot fakes and reverse pivots to create good looks offensively in the paint. He also has great hands that allow him to grab rebounds and catch tough passes in traffic.

Weaknesses
Milutinov has struggled matching up with physical front courts, fighting for position on the low black against stronger defenders. At times Milutinov has looked overwhelmed on both ends, which is a big concern since the NBA has many dominant bigs day in and day out.

Another big improvement Milutinov needs is his ability to knock down jump shots. Although he can score while positioning deep in the paint, he hasn't been effective anywhere outside of it. Nowadays, we see more well-rounded centers that have 10-15 foot jumpers in their arsenal to be productive, something he may want to add to help him succeed.
