2016 Draft Profile - Isaia Cordinier

Strengths: Coming off his second season in France's Pro B League, Isaiah Cordinier has become another sleeper worth watching in the upcoming NBA Draft. Standing at 6'5", Cornier is an athletic 2-guard who loves to finish above the rim, a rare commodity amongst European players.

He's an explosive leaper that gets it done on both ends on the floor as he's also an excellent defender. Based off his pure upside play, Cornier is highly viewed as one of the best young, raw talents in Europe at the age of 19 heading into the draft.

Weaknesses: When it comes to young players getting ready to take their talents to the next level, most of them need to polish up their overall skill set. And that is the case with the 19-year-old Frenchman.

Also, although Cordinier is very athletic and can jump out of the gym, he has a limited basketball IQ that at times causes him to make wrong decisions with the basketball. Another key component Cordinier must improve on drastically is his ability to knock down shots from the perimeter.

He's been able to be productive without much of a jump shot in France, but at the NBA level teams will recognize this and play off of him, forcing him to shoot from the outside. Therefore, if he wants to contribute the most to whichever team drafts him, he'll have to work on that jumper and polish his overall game.
