2016 Draft Profile - Timothe Luwawa

Strengths: Luwawu is one of the more unknown international prospects, but could be one of the biggest risers throughout the draft process.

The first thing that stands out are his excellent physical traits. He has the size to play both wing positions and an outstanding wing span as well as huge hands. He runs the floor extremely well. He is improving on offense both as a shooter and an attacker off the dribble. He is also a solid passer and ballhandler with decent vision.

Defensively is where Luwawu projects to make an impact immediately. His length and quickness allow him to guard multiple positions and create turnovers. He puts pressure on his man and does well fighting over screens and harassing ball handlers. At this stage his defense is ahead of his offense.

Weaknesses: While Luwawu has a good frame, it does still need to fill out. He lacks some strength and that could cause a problem on both ends of the floor.

The majority of concerns about Luwawu have to do with the offensive end. He will need to prove that his boost in shooting is not an aberration. He also needs to work on his decision-making as he can be prone to turnovers at times.

His ability to create off the dribble will also need to improve and become more consistent.
