Lonzo Ball
Ht/Wt: 6' 6" / 190 lbs
Position: PG
Team: UCLA
Class: Freshman

2017 Draft Profile - Lonzo Ball

Strengths: Lonzo Ball is a 6’6 pure passing point guard that possesses great size and speed. His biggest strength has to be his court vision and playmaking ability. He is a true floor general that possesses Jason-Kidd like ability. He can make any pass at any time, which will help him fit in with any NBA team.

He averaged a triple-double his senior year of high school at Chino Hills, and has continued to fill out the stat sheet this year at UCLA.

His ability to play with and without the ball, coupled with his above average athleticism leads to many easy buckets at the rim for him and his Bruins teammates. That size and athleticism also helps him defensively, as he is one of the best perimeter defenders in college basketball.

Weaknesses: Just from the eye test, his jump shot is very unorthodox and ugly, but it has gone in as he has shot the three-ball above the 40 percent mark while at UCLA.

At just 19-years-old Ball still has a lot of strength he needs to add, but the way he plays strength is not necessarily the biggest asset to his game.

He also sometimes tends to play a little too fast, which can lead to turnovers at the next level when he’s playing against smarter defenders, so if he slows down a bit and plays with more control that will benefit him tremendously.
