Zach CollinsHt/Wt: 7' 0" / 230 lbs
2017 Draft Profile - Zach CollinsStrengths: Collins is one of the better big men coming out of college. He has improved immensely throughout his freshman season at Gonzaga. His body frame has the features; long arms and broad shoulders to be a force down on the block.
In transition he is a fluid runner and can finish plays while on the move. The best part about Collins’ game is his knack to hit outside jump shots and his underrated passing ability.
He has really nice mechanics on his jump shot and his release is flawless. He can also finish with both hands effectively. He is still a little raw, but clearly has the potential to be a really solid player.
Weaknesses: Given that he is a little raw, he needs to improve his game down in the post and with his back against the basket. Getting stronger will also help him finish through contact more effectively.
His footwork will also need to improve when he matches up some good competition in the NBA. With the right coaching and the willingness to work hard he can overcome his deficiencies and become an all-around player.
