2020 Draft Profile - Aaron Nesmith

Jeremy Woo - Sept. 16th: "Nesmith’s season was cut short by a foot fracture, but he did put together a pretty convincing 14 games, in which he hit a remarkable 52% of his threes on 115 attempts. He’s one of the better pure shot-makers in the draft, can attack a closeout fairly well and is competent if not jaw-dropping from an athletic perspective."

Gary Parrish - CBS Sports - July 6th: "But it can't be ignored that the 6-6 guard made 52.2% of the 115 3-pointers he attempted. That's an incredible percentage. And when you consider Nesmith has great size for his position, plus a good body, it's not crazy to think he should be a top-15 pick."

NBA Draft Room - July 6th: "He’s not the most natural creator and doesn’t project as a primary initiator at the next level. Has a solid frame and can finish through contact but isn’t the most explosive above the rim player."

HashTag Basketball - July 1st: "Nesmith isn't an elite athlete, but he does have the dribbling skills to attack off the dribble. He will be used as a scoring wing and will need to be paired with a solid point guard who can get him the ball."

USA Today - June 25th: "Nesmith could blossom into something special soon. He was already considered one of the best 3-point shooters last season (52.2 percent). His season, in which he averaged 23 points, was cut short after 14 games due to a right foot injury."

NBA Draft Room - May 26th: "After a foot injury, Nesmith finished the year with averages of 23pts, 4.9rbs while shooting a ridiculous 52% from 3."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - May 26th: "Before a season-ending foot injury in January, Aaron Nesmith, who shot 52.2% from 3-point range through 14 games, was on pace to be one of only three players in the last 20 years to shoot above 50% from deep on 200+ attempts, per college basketball reference. Simply put, he's the most lethal shooter in this draft."

Jeremy Woo - SI - May 6th: "Unfortunately, Nesmith’s season was cut short by a foot fracture, but he did put together a pretty convincing 14 games, in which he hit a remarkable 52% of his threes on 115 attempts. He’s one of the better pure shot-makers in the draft, can attack a closeout fairly well, and is competent if not jaw-dropping from an athletic perspective."

Jeff Goodman - Stadium - May 6th: "The former Commodore shot 52 percent from deep last season."
