Position: PF/C
Team: Washington
Class: Freshman

2020 Draft Profile - Isaiah Stewart

Jeremy Woo - Sept. 16th: "Stewart sometimes struggles to finish plays and get off clean looks against guys who can counter his size, but there’s optimism that he’ll be able to shoot threes, and he’s not going to require tons of touches to be effective."

Gary Parrish - CBS Sports - July 6th: "The 6-9 center led his team in points (17.0), rebounds (8.8) and blocks (2.1). He was great -- but how well will it translate at the next level? That's the question. And, for what it's worth, scouts acknowledge guarding in space could be a problem."

NBA Draft Room - July 6th: "Powerful, physical, tough; a few words to describe Isaiah Stewart, who has been rising up the rankings as he’s grown physically and developed his game."

HashTag Basketball - July 1st: "Even though Stewart isn't the tallest big-man, he makes up for it with his length and work rate. Stewart's height limits his shot-blocking ability, but he is still an effective rim protector because of his ability to elevate and stay vertical."

USA Today - June 25th: "Stewart became a consistent big man with promising potential as a finisher and rim protector. That won’t translate right away in the NBA, but he will blossom in a few years. "

NBA Draft Room - May 26th: "Stewart is destined for a long NBA career but he might not be an All Star level player. He should be able to contribute early thanks to his NBA ready frame and hard work on the boards."

Jeremy Woo - SI - May 6th: "There’s nothing overly flashy about Stewart’s game, as a throwback, high-energy rebounder who’s lauded for his work ethic and leadership. Despite not being a mobile, modern center, he remains a likely first-round pick on the strength of that profile — as a grease man who understands exactly what he is."

Jeff Goodman - Stadium - May 6th: "The high-character center knows his bread is buttered in the paint, but he’ll eventually work hard enough to become a solid mid-range shooter."Rob Dauster - NBC Sports - Apr. 13th: "What you see is what you get with Stewart. He’s a tireless rebounder that, at 250 pounds of solid muscle, is ready to compete in the paint against NBA bigs right now. He’s a good post scorer that has shown some glimpses of being able to make threes — the Washington staff will tell you he’s lights out in practice."
