Jaden McDaniels
Ht/Wt: 6'10" / 185 lbs
Position: SF/PF
Team: Washington
Class: Freshman

2020 Draft Profile - Jaden McDaniels

Jeremy Woo - Sept. 16th: "He struggled to string together consistent results at Washington, which wasn’t entirely his fault given the team’s poor guard play, but his slender frame and the fact he managed a negative assist-to-turnover ratio are still detractors. McDaniels is a willing passer and rebounder and has more all-around game than he was able to show."

Gary Parrish - CBS Sports - July 6th: "So while the upside McDaniels possesses will lead to him still getting selected in the first round, probably, the truth is that he did very little to help himself in his one season at Washington."

NBA Draft Room - July 6th: "Jaden is a natural wing who can play some at the 4 position as well. At 6-10 and about 200 pounds he’s a skinny player who plays a finesse game. He’s got a sweet shooting stroke, can handle the ball in the open court and is a shot maker."

USA Today - June 25th: "McDaniels will be a fit in the modern NBA because of his defensive versatility, but he needs to develop as a shooter. He has a strong network to help him adjust to the pros, including his cousin, former NBA star Juwan Howard."

NBA Draft Room - May 26th: "Jaden has all the talent in the world and great size but it doesn't always translate to the floor. He's not the most efficient player or high motor guy but some team will fall in love with the upside."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - May 26th: "And McDaniels' pro prospects remain promising yet. Add some meat to his big frame and sharpen his skills and he could become a jumbo wing with major boom potential. A year ago he was the No. 1 prospect at his position coming out of high school."

Jeremy Woo - SI - May 6th: "His slender frame and the fact he managed a negative assist to turnover ratio are pretty big detractors. McDaniels is a willing passer and rebounder, but has to be able to consistently shoot over opponents to tie the rest of his skill set together, and he just hasn’t been all that reliable or efficient."

Jeff Goodman - Stadium - May 6th: "There are plenty of concerns about McDaniels, including his lack of a motor and the fact his team struggled last season. But he’s intriguing due to his length, skill and upside. "
