Jahmius Ramsey
Ht/Wt: 6' 4" / 195 lbs
Position: PG/SG
Team: Texas Tech
Class: Freshman

2020 Draft Profile - Jahmi'us Ramsey

Jeremy Woo - Sept. 16th: "Right now, he settles for too many jumpers and gets to the rim less often than you’d think for a guy with his type of strength. If he reverses that trend and embraces the defensive side of the ball, he has a chance to be a useful rotation player, particularly if his three-point shooting (42% on 141 attempts, but 64% from the free throw line) holds up."

Gary Parrish - CBS Sports - July 6th: "The 6-4 guard averaged 15.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 42.6% from 3-point range. It was a strong freshman season. Yes, there are concerns about what else he does really well besides make shots. But shot-making is super important in today's NBA."

NBA Draft Room - July 6th: "Ramsey is an impact player as soon as he steps on the floor. He plays with great energy and hustle and seems to always be around the ball. He can score from three levels and plays an attacking style, always looking to get to the rim."

HashTag Basketball - July 1st: "Ramsey's smooth shooting form makes him deadly from outside. He can struggle when he's shooting on the move, but when he gets his feet set, Ramsey is likely to make it."

USA Today - June 25th: "Ramsey’s athleticism and perimeter defense will get him by, initially. He remains unproven, however, as a consistent scorer. He has a nice shot from outside and made 42.6 percent of his 3s."

NBA Draft Room - May 26th: "Has a nose for the ball and brings a lot of energy. Can play on or off the ball and is a warrior on the court."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - May 26th: "Jahmi'us Ramsey is a very good shooter in pretty much every situation: off dribble handoffs, running off screens, and spotting up. He rated in the 91st percentile as a catch and shoot scorer last season in the half court at Texas Tech."

Jeremy Woo - SI - May 6th: "Right now, he settles for too many jumpers and gets to the rim less often than you’d think for a guy with his type of strength. If he reverses that trend and embraces the defensive side of the ball, his ability to play on and off the ball could make him a nice backcourt piece."
