Kahlil Whitney
Ht/Wt: 6' 8" / 200 lbs
Position: SF
Team: Kentucky
Class: Freshman

2020 Draft Profile - Kahlil Whitney

Jeremy Woo - Sept. 16th: "Whitney has a great basketball body and simply has not had a ton of structure and development to this point, so there’s obviously untapped upside here. But teams will have to feel secure in his ability to handle the adversity that’s inevitably coming, and he’ll have to be prepared for a year or two in the G League."

NBA Draft Room - July 6th: "Whitney had a tough year for the Wildcats, never really getting it going. He’s got athletic upside and a great frame with good strength and a long wingspan but he’s got a ways to go with developing his skills."

Jeremy Woo - SI - May 6th: "He seems more likely a priority undrafted type than a surefire second-round flier based off his appealing tools, but disastrous freshman season. Whitney has a great basketball body and simply has not had a ton of structure and development to this point, so there’s obviously untapped upside here."

NBA Draft Room - July 27th: "A quickly improving player who has the physical tools to be special. Very quick and bouncy with an aggressive game and emerging skill set."

Kyle Boone - CBC Sports - June 28th: "Whitney is a high-ceiling bet with all the athletic gifts and only some of the scoring and handling to go with it. If he can put it all together at Kentucky, or down the road in the NBA, he's going to have a chance to be an All-Star wing."
