2021 Draft Profile - Scottie Barnes

NBA Draft Room - Jan. 31st: "Barnes is a sensational all around talent who’s got great ball skills and passing ability in a big 6-9 frame."

James Ham - NBC Sports - Jan. 25th: "Aggressive and athletic, Barnes plays with a fire that teams will fall in love with. At 6-foot-8 with a 7-foot-2 wingspan, he projects as a plus defender and he has very solid court vision and playmaking skills."

- Jeremy Woo - Jan 20: "Barnes is extremely long and does enough things at a high level that you can see his game coalescing into a unique, starting-caliber player. His ability to playmaker at his size from different spots on the floor is the big calling card here, and he should be a strong addition to any defense."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - Jan. 14th: "At 6'9" and 227 pounds, he leads Florida State in assists (4.3 per game), playmaking against bigs with his ball-handling, passing skills and IQ. He's also defending wings and guards with convincing effectiveness. "

Krysten Peek - Yahoo! Sports - Jan. 11th: "He is playing the point guard position at Florida State and can rotate around to different positions with ease and fluidity. Barnes is one of the best on-ball defenders in the country thanks to his length and speed and has 12 steals in just seven games."

NBA Draft Room - October: "Barnes is a sensational all around talent who’s got great ball skills and passing ability in a big 6-8 frame."

Kevin Flaherty - 247 Sports - Sept. 14th: "Barnes has great length, can handle the ball, rebounds at a high-level and boasts a motor that makes him a headache for opponents. At 6-foot-8 and 210 pounds, he should fit in well with the length and defensive emphasis Florida State plays with, but the jump shot is what could ultimately determine whether or not he reaches his high ceiling."

Bryan Kalbrosky - The Rookie Wire - Sept. 1st: "Scottie Barnes has a point-forward mentality, assisting on 16.8% of scores for Team USA in the U19 World Cup. He averaged 18.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.2 steals as well as 1.0 block per game for Nightrydas Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit."
