2022 Draft Profile - EJ Liddell

Cody Taylor - USA Today - Apr. 9th: "He showed promise as a floor-spacer after converting on 37.4% of his 3.8 attempts per game from 3-point range, while he also has a nice mid-range game. Liddell tested the pre-draft process last year but decided to return to school."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - Mar. 16th: "E.J. Liddell doesn't fit into a traditional bucket as a prospect -- he's a tad undersized for a big -- but it's hard to ignore his production. He's a gifted scorer who finds ways to produce and he ranks among the top five of all Big Ten players in blocks and scoring."

Mike Schmitz - ESPN - Mar. 15th: "He has trimmed down, evolved as a perimeter shooter (38% from 3), expanded his playmaking off the dribble, become an asset in switch situations and developed into a true defensive anchor for the Buckeyes thanks to his stellar timing and nonstop motor."

Bryan Kalbrosky - USA Today - Feb. 16th: "Even though he isn’t going to stand out as one of the sexiest picks in the draft, he projects as a solid pro."

Kyle Irving - Sporting News - Feb. 11th: "Even though he is undersized as a forward at 6-foot-7, his IQ and mobility make up for what he lacks in size. His length and versatility allow him to defend both bigs and wings and he has quick hands and good instincts to come up with blocks."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Jan. 19th: "While he’s a tad undersized for an NBA four at 6’7, Liddell has great length (near 7-foot wingspan) and a pro-ready frame at 240 pounds. He’s an efficiency inside scorer, a solid high-post passer, and has one of the best shot blocking rates (more than 10 percent) in this class."

Cody Taylor - The Rookie Wire - USA Today - Jan. 19th: "He is averaging a career-high 19.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.8 blocked shots and 2.7 assists this season. Perhaps most impressively, his 3-point shooting has improved to 39.7% on 3.6 attempts per game, up from 33.8% a season ago."

NBA Draft Room - Jan. 15th: "A versatile all around talent, fundamentally sound and efficient."

Jeremy Woo - SI - Jan. 13th: "He’s elevated his all-around game in nearly every way and looks like a bankable first-round pick, having worked himself into great shape to help maximize his athleticism. While a tad undersized for a power forward, Liddell bridges the gap on both ends of the floor with his strength, toughness and physicality."
