Position: SF/PF
Team: Baylor
Class: Freshman

2022 Draft Profile - Jeremy Sochan

Cody Taylor - USA Today - Apr. 9th: "He emerged as an excellent defender and affected games in a variety of ways. He has an evolving offensive game but projects to be able to develop into a player that can run the show and create for himself."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Apr. 5th: "It’s impossible to take your eyes off Sochan because of the incredible energy he plays with defensively. The 6’9 freshman forward raised the level of intensity every time he took the floor, showing the ability to switch onto smaller players, wall up around the rim, and cover a ton of ground with his mobility."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - Mar. 16th: "Most of all, his playmaking at his height really sticks out, as does his ability to defend multiple positions and the potential of him operating as a small-ball big at the next level."

Mike Schmitz - ESPN - Mar. 21st: "Sochan's energy, competitiveness, defensive versatility and toughness shined through in the second half against UNC and it's become increasingly clear that he's not only the best NBA prospect on his team, but a potential lottery pick if he can convince teams of his shooting throughout the pre-draft process."

Bryan Kalbrosky - USA Today - Feb. 16th: "While playing around with some silly filters, I noticed something interesting. Sochan joins Zion Williamson as the only high-major freshman since 2010 to record a block percentage and steal percentage both above 3.3% while also shooting at least 33.3% on 3-pointers (minimum: 3.3 attempts per 100 possessions)."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Jan. 19th: "Sochan is a defensive-minded big who hits the glass, has active hands, and can provided supplemental shot blocking. He mostly scores on cuts and putbacks to this point, and teams will want to see him prove he can space the floor as a shooter."

Cody Taylor - The Rookie Wire - USA Today - Jan. 19th: "He has the size to handle the physicality and has shown an ability to shoot from beyond the arc ... Some believe he is not a sure-fire one-and-done prospect, but that could change with more strong performances this season."

NBA Draft Room - Jan. 15th: "A big smooth forward who can stretch the floor."

Jeremy Woo - SI - Jan. 13th: "His defensive versatility and perimeter skill at his size have made him more than a curiosity at this point, and while he’s not a consistent scorer yet, teams continue to make note of his all-around contributions."
