Kendall Brown

Position: SF
Team: Baylor
Class: Freshman

2022 Draft Profile - Kendall Brown

Cody Taylor - USA Today - Apr. 9th: "Brown has shown he can affect games on the defensive end and can guard nearly every position on the court, save for the 5. He hasn’t shown real confidence in his shot, attempting only 41 3-pointers, but still knocked down 34.1% of those looks."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - Mar. 16th: "Should be a really coveted prospect once teams dive into him and see his two-way potential. NBA teams can't get enough of long wings like Brown who can add shooting the way he can."

Jonathan Givony - ESPN - Mar. 21st: "Not turning 19 until May, Brown's raw offensive skill set and struggles defensively aren't shocking considering his lack of experience, and he still has several intriguing attributes to hang his hat on as arguably the most explosive leaper in this draft class, with a 6-11 wingspan and some real flashes of passing and ability to defend one-on-one."

Bryan Kalbrosky - USA Today - Feb. 16th: "Baylor freshman Kendall Brown is a solid athlete who currently has the second-most dunks among all high-major freshmen. He is most effective in the open floor or when cutting to the basket, and he makes plenty of winning plays needed to make a dent in an NBA rotation."

Kyle Irving - Sporting News - Feb. 11th: "His fluid athleticism, quick feet, breakaway speed and vertical leap make him an enticing prospect. He can comfortably defend 1-through-4 with the agility to keep up with guards on the perimeter and the length and hops to bother forwards inside."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Jan. 19th: "A 6’8 forward with a 6’10 wingspan, Brown has shown distinct strengths and weaknesses so far. He’s the most explosive leaper in the class and has been tremendous finding ways to score hyper-efficiently (70 percent true shooting) without holding the ball, mostly by being a great cutter and deadly transition threat."

Cody Taylor - The Rookie Wire - USA Today - Jan. 19th: "He is a constant lob threat around the rim and has emerged as a tremendous cutter for Baylor. He has shown he can affect games on the defensive end and can guard nearly every position on the court, save for the 5."

Jeremy Woo - SI - Jan. 13th: "He has a strong feel for how to score without dominating the ball, which has covered for the fact that he doesn’t have a reliable jump shot yet, and isn’t a naturally creative player. The latter items make Brown a bit divisive for some scouts, and understandably so."

Sam Vecenie - The Athletic - Jan. 6th: "At 6-foot-8 with a 6-foot-11 wingspan, paired with terrific fluidity, footwork and quickness as well as elite, explosive pop vertically, Brown is probably the most functional athlete in the draft. He is aggressive on defense with real switchability one through four."
