2022 Draft Profile - Kennedy Chandler

Cody Taylor - USA Today - Apr. 9th: "Chandler enters the pre-draft process highly touted as an athletic point guard that can create for himself and others. He is a strong 3-point shooter, converting 38.3% of his 3.8 attempts this season, and could be a good floor-spacer at the next level."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - Mar. 16th: "I'm not convinced he's got the juice to be a starting caliber lead guard in the NBA because of some decision-making questions and his smaller frame but he's a fiery competitor on both ends and has held up well in a system under Rick Barnes that hasn't necessarily been kind to other freshmen in recent years."

Jonathan Givony - ESPN - Mar. 21st: "NBA teams have long been reluctant to hand the keys of their team over to smaller guards, which is why measurements and the way he performs in workouts against other touted prospects at his position will ultimately determine when his name is called."

Kyle Irving - Sporting News - Feb. 11th: "He has great court vision but has a tendency to do too much at times. He has soft touch on his floaters and a solid jumpshot but struggles to score at the rim."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Jan. 19th: "At 6-foot and 170 pounds, Chandler is a quick and shifty ball handler who will have to clear a high bar in terms of skill level to find sustained success in the NBA. There have been flashes of exactly that: he has extremely good hands defensively, makes solid passing reads in the pick-and-roll, and shown the ability to hit a pull-up jumper."

Cody Taylor - The Rookie Wire - USA Today - Jan. 19th: "He entered the season known as an athletic point guard that can create for himself and others. That has been on display throughout the season. Chandler produced a career-high 27 points on Dec. 4 as his 13 field goals in that contest were the most by a Volunteers player since 2013."

NBA Draft Room - Jan. 15th: "A bit undersized but plays bigger than his size and has big time athleticism. A gamer and a winner."

Sam Vecenie - The Athletic - Jan. 6th: "He has electric speed and can get into the paint, but I don’t love the way he reads defenses when he gets there. He seems to not totally recognize exactly how defenders are playing him if they start to mix on-ball coverages."
