Position: SG/SF
Team: Ignite
Class: G League

2022 Draft Profile - MarJon Beauchamp

Cody Taylor - USA Today - Apr. 9th: "He has dazzled at times on the defensive end with his athleticism and length and has looked to be a willing defender with his energy and effort. He struggled to shoot from deep, converting on 24.2% from 3-point range, but he has good mechanics that signal he should be able to improve in an NBA system."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - Mar. 16th: "The oldest of the G League Ignite blue-chip talents, Beauchamp this season at 20 years old is riding a strong season into first-round consideration. He's got great size, very athletic, just needs to improve the shot."

Mike Schmitz - ESPN - Dec. 22nd: "He's a gap-filler wing who generates offense without using any dribbles by being opportunistic in transition, finding soft spots as a cutter and getting downhill off pindowns and closeout attacks."

Bryan Kalbrosky - USA Today - Feb. 16th: "With good size for an NBA wing, Beauchamp is the closest thing to a plug-and-play option in the draft considering how well he has fared against professionals in the G League."

Kyle Irving - Sporting News - Feb. 11th: "He needs to improve as a spot-up shooter to reach his ceiling as a 3-and-D player, but he's a glue guy who will crash the glass, run the lane and put pressure on defenses as a cutter."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Jan. 19th: "A 6’7 wing with a reported 7-foot wingspan, Beaucamp has been an opportunistic and efficient scorer all season. He’s a good cutter and finisher around the basket, hits the glass hard, and has defensive versatility because of his length."

Cody Taylor - The Rookie Wire - USA Today - Jan. 19th: "He has dazzled at times on the defensive end with his athleticism and length and has looked to be a willing defender with his energy and effort. His shooting will need to improve after converting on 24.2% from beyond the arc, but Beauchamp has had a remarkable journey to this point and is poised to become a first-round pick."

NBA Draft Room - Jan. 15th: "MarJon has a sweet and steady jumper and can score the ball from 3 levels. Is off to a good start in the G League."

Jeremy Woo - SI - Jan. 13th: "He looks the part, with ideal length for his position, plus athletic tools and an improved defensive mentality. Beauchamp hasn’t shot the ball well from distance or gotten to the foul line much, but he’s become a pretty active off-ball player and figured out how to fit into his role."

Sam Vecenie - The Athletic - Jan. 6th: "He’s all about the work and the team. His defensive energy has been top-notch, and his mix of positional size, athleticism and length has translated well to the G League."
