Ochai Agbaji
Ht/Wt: 6' 6" / 215 lbs
Position: SG/SF
Team: Kansas
Class: Senior

2022 Draft Profile - Ochai Agbaji

Cody Taylor - USA Today - Apr. 9th: "He was named the Most Outstanding Player after averaging 13.7 points 4.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks in six games in the NCAA Tournament. He was incredible from deep this season, shooting 40.7% on 6.5 attempts per game."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Apr. 5th: "At 6’5 with a 6’10 wingspan, he has similar physical dimensions to Bulls rookie Ayo Dosunmu. If teams think he can be an instant impact defender like Dosunmu, he could be a worthy rotational wing in the late lottery."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - Mar. 16th: "Agbaji is one of the older prospects in our first round projections -- he'll be 22 by the draft -- but that shouldn't keep him from slipping outside the lottery. He's made a substantial leap this season as a junior into the No. 1 role for Kansas this season and done so while still maintaining efficiency"

Mike Schmitz - ESPN - Mar. 15th: "Standing 6-foot-6 with a 6-foot-10 wingspan and an NBA-level bounce, Agbaji is one of nine players in the NCAA shooting over 40% from 3 on at least 6.5 attempts per game, and he's doing so while adding value defensively and ranking in the top 25 in scoring."

Bryan Kalbrosky - USA Today - Feb. 16th: "He was already a solid athlete but if he is also going to make an impact as a knockdown catch-and-shoot guy, he can become an ideal floor spacer."

Kyle Irving - Sporting News - Feb. 11th: "His ball handling has improved and he's gotten more comfortable attacking off the dribble, pairing well with his strong frame and steady body control when he gets to the basket. His age could be seen as a negative, but Agbaji should be ready to enter an NBA rotation immediately as a 3-and-D option."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Jan. 19th: " Always an impressive athlete, Agbaji is now hitting 47 percent of his threes at a high volume of attempts. He fits the hold of an off-ball guard who spaces the floor and attacks closeouts in the NBA."

Cody Taylor - The Rookie Wire - USA Today - Jan. 19th: "Agbaji, who is leading the Big 12 in scoring, is averaging a career-high 19.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He has been incredible from deep this season, shooting 47.3% on 6.6 attempts per game."

NBA Draft Room - Jan. 15th: "Ochai is a well built athlete who is dripping with upside and showing flashes of being an NBA level wing."

Jeremy Woo - SI - Jan. 13th: "He’s not dynamic or flashy in any way, but his newfound offensive confidence has played a big factor in his improved results. He fits the bill for a 3-and-D wing both physically and skill-wise, and has played his way into the first-round conversation thanks to his consistency."

Sam Vecenie - The Athletic - Jan. 6th: "He’s a high-level shooter who also defends multiple positions. The worst-case scenario here is that he’s a rotational wing. The best case is that he can be a legit starter on a good team in a 3-and-D role because of how strong he is."
