2022 Draft Profile - Patrick Baldwin

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - Mar. 16th: "The selling point with him has always been his outside shooting ability as a jumbo-sized wing but the lack of tape as a freshman combined with the struggles when healthy have dinged his stock outside the lottery for now if he winds up declaring."

Jonathan Givony - ESPN - Feb 22nd. : "NBA teams privately sound extremely concerned about Baldwin's left ankle, which caused him to miss most of his high school senior year and is clearly not 100% based on the amount of time he's missed and the fact that he's been essentially day-to-day for the past two months."

Bryan Kalbrosky - USA Today - Feb. 16th: "While he is in the midst of one of the most disappointing campaigns among draft prospects, if he declares, I doubt we’ll see Patrick Baldwin Jr. fall out of the first round."

Kyle Irving - Sporting News - Feb. 11th: "The 18-year-old isn't dominating the mid-major level in a way you would have expected from the No. 5-ranked player in his high school class, but Baldwin's measurables and potential still land him in the lottery."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Jan. 19th: "The appeal of Baldwin is his intersection of size and elite shooting. A 6’10 forward with a clean release and deep range, Baldwin was an incredible three-point shooter at every level before a slow start (32 percent from deep) since entering Milwaukee."

Cody Taylor - The Rookie Wire - USA Today - Jan. 19th: "He has dealt with multiple injuries this season that have cut his season to just eight appearances as of Jan. 19, but Baldwin still projects to be a lottery pick. He still has plenty of room to grow and is highly thought of as a prospect that can help space the floor."

NBA Draft Room - Jan. 15th: "Baldwin is a big wing with a smooth stroke and elite size for position who reminds a bit of MPJ."

Jeremy Woo - SI - Jan. 13th: "He has considerable pedigree, brings size and above-average ball skills, and projects as a good three-point shooter with positive feel. That should be enough to keep his stock afloat in the first round. But his physicality, toughness and defensive mettle have frequently come into question, and Baldwin hasn’t really done much to assuage those concerns."

Sam Vecenie - The Athletic - Jan. 6th: "He isn’t all that polished as a ballhandler, and most NBA teams see him more as something of a souped-up version of Phoenix Suns wing Cam Johnson: a terrific floor spacer who hits shots at a high level off the catch and has strong defensive instincts but doesn’t consistently create for himself."
