Position: SF/PF

Class: Sophomore

2022 Draft Profile - Tari Eason

Cody Taylor - USA Today - Apr. 9th: "He recorded four games with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds, the most by a Tigers player since 2015. Eason, who will turn 21 next month, emerged as a tremendous defensive player this season, ranking fourth in the country in defensive rating (83.2) and fifth in defensive box plus/minus (5.7)."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - Mar. 16th: "While the shot isn't quite there and may never be a strength, Tari Eason this season has proven his NBA potential as a do-it-all defender and rebounder, and he's got fans in the league who think he has lottery potential."

Jonathan Givony - ESPN - Mar. 15: "Eason has improved his ballhandling and perimeter shooting considerably while putting consistent pressure on opposing defenses with his quick first step, physicality and insatiable intensity, allowing him to live at the free throw line."

Bryan Kalbrosky - USA Today - Feb. 16th: "Since 2011, excluding non-shooters (minimum: at least one 3-pointer attempted per 100 possessions), Eason would join Gary Payton II and Matisse Thybulle as the only high-major players to record a block percentage and steal percentage both above 4.0 in the same season."

Ricky O'Donnell - SB Nation - Jan. 19th: "A 6’8 forward with a 7-foot wingspan, Eason is an explosive leaper who packs box scores with a hyper-aggressive style of play. The sophomore forward is leading LSU and scoring and blocked shots despite not starting a game so far."

NBA Draft Room - Jan. 15th: "A lanky, athletic and versatile player maker."

Sam Vecenie - The Athletic - Jan. 6th: "He rebounds the ball well, then pushes to grab and go out in transition. He passes well and knows how to cut and move in half-court offense. The problem is that it’s unclear what his role will be on that end beyond that."
