2023 Draft Profile - Anthony Black

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - June 21st: "Black has fans all over for his coveted mix of positional size, passing and defense."

Gary Parrish - CBS Sports - June 20th: "Black has great size for his position and the ability to make plays out of pick-and-rolls. Those attributes combined with a high basketball IQ"

NBA Draft Room - May 16th: "A big PG with great handles and elite passing ability. Has special basketball instincts and put on a show his freshman year."

John Fanta - Fox Sports - May 12: "He's a talented playmaker and a switchable, willing defender who impacted winning in his one season with the Razorbacks. At the age of 19, Black also carries high upside and if the perimeter game can come along, he will possess the entire arsenal to help a team."

Tyler Byrum and Chase Hughes - NBC Sports - May 8th: "As a 6-foot-7 point guard, Black would fit that mold as another tall playmaker...Down the road, he would hopefully blossom into an above-average starting point guard."

Bryan Kalbrosky - For the Win - May 5th: "Anthony Black is a swiss-army-knife prospect and prospects with his blend of size, playmaking, and defensive ability tend to hear their name called early in the draft. Black was also able to draw more total shooting fouls (80) than all high-major guards except just Judah Mintz, per CBB Analytics."

Krysten Peek - Yahoo! Sports - Jan. 30th: "Through his freshman growing pains, particularly as a playmaker, Black has cleaned up his turnovers and is always willing to make the extra pass to an open teammate."

Chase Hughes - NBC Sports - Jan. 16: "Black is one of the most versatile players in this draft and also has one of the best feels for the game. He's a 6-foot-7 guard who impacts both ends of the floor, rebounds and makes plays for others with natural gifts as a passer."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - Jan. 5th: "Despite questions about Black's self-creation and upside as an NBA scorer, his ability to play-make for teammates and defend guards at 6'7"—plus the encouraging start from three (13-of-36)—highlights valued versatility and multiple ways for him to impact games."
