2024 Draft Profile - Devin Carter

Kevin O'Connor - The Ringer - June 17th: "Lockdown point-of-attack defender who stays seated in his stance and harasses opponents. With his strength, length, and mindset, he’s capable of switching to defend larger players, too."

NBA Draft Room - June 16th: "An efficient guard who impacts all aspects of the game. Has a lot of strength and toughness and is a big time shot maker and a standout defender."

Devin Carter - ESPN - June 7th: "While he has not accepted any type of promise from a team, he is trending in a positive direction, with front offices intrigued by his motor, scoring ability and defensive toughness."

Sam Vecenie - The Athletic - June 5th: "However, Carter’s biggest jump this past season came on offense. After years of being a questionable shooter, Carter hit 37.7 percent of his nearly seven 3-point attempts per game. His shot is something of a moon ball that arcs high in the air, but it went in consistently this season."

Colin Ward-Henninger - CBS Sports - June 4th: "Owner of a 6-foot-9 wingspan, 42-inch vertical and a sturdy frame, he profiles as a potentially elite defensive prospect. He also averaged nearly 10 rebounds per 40 minutes last season at Providence, absolutely ridiculous for a 6-foot-2 guard and a clear indication of his high motor and basketball IQ."

Zach Buckley - Bleacher Report - June 4th: "His 2023-24 stats were stellar—19.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.8 combined steals and blocks—and his combine testing was, arguably, even better."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - May 30th: "A big winner from athletic testing, Devin Carter set an NBA combine record in the sprint, tied for the highest max vertical and finished third in lane agility time. He also measured a near 6'9" wingspan, huge and key for a guard who could be considered undersized at the 2."
