2024 Draft Profile - Kyle Filipowski

Kevin O'Connor - The Ringer - June 17th: "Fluid ball handler capable of running actions like a guard or a wing, whether it’s pick-and-rolls or handoffs as the receiving player. He can attack out of actions in a straight line or fluidly use crossovers and spin moves."

NBA Draft Room - June 16th: "An excellent shooter and overall offensive talent with good passing vision for a 7-footer. Rebounds the ball well but can also get pushed around inside and will have to toughen up on defense."

Jeremy Woo - ESPN - June 7th: "His skill level at 7 feet sets him apart from the other bigs in this draft, but his skills are also somewhat fit-specific to teams willing to utilize him creatively. He began working out for teams this week and has a lot left to play out in that respect, with his draft range still fluid."

Sam Vecenie - The Athletic - June 5th: "The Blue Devils had a top-16 defense this past season, and he usually positions himself well, contests enough shots and can slide his feet a couple of times on an island to stay with wings and even some guards. It’s difficult to find 7-footers who can dribble, pass and shoot. Filipowski can do all three."

Colin Ward-Henninger - CBS Sports - June 4th: "I've certainly been proven wrong before, but he's not a particularly strong rim protector and his 3-point shot is shaky at best, which I think limits his NBA ceiling. He does have good touch around the basket and can move his feet defensively, so getting into a system like Boston's would likely do wonders for his development -- even if it takes a while."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - May 30th: "Measurements and athletic testing results from the NBA combine won't do Kyle Filipowski any favors. With shoes on, (6'10.75" in socks), he'll wind up with a negative wingspan (6'10.5"). And he finished in the bottom half of the foot speed and leaping tests."
