Tyler Smith
Ht/Wt: 6' 9" / 224 lbs
Position: SF/PF
Team: Ignite
Class: G League

2024 Draft Profile - Tyler Smith

Kevin O'Connor - The Ringer - June 17th: "Smooth shooter with good footwork and a quick release, making over 40 percent of his 3s. He’s more of a standstill threat at this point, though. Solid post player. He can hit face-up jumpers by shooting over defenders and he has a hook shot using his right hand."

NBA Draft Room - June 16th: "A bouncy and talented big man with a nice shooting stroke and a ton of confidence in his outside shot. He looked like one of the best prospects on the Ignite team this year and has some very clear NBA-level skills."

Sam Vecenie - The Athletic - June 5th: "Smith averaged 13.7 points and 5.1 rebounds this season while drilling 36 percent from 3, and measured at 6-9 without shoes to pair with a 7-1 wingspan. He was effective within a limited role where he pick-and-popped, cut to the rim and dove to the hoop out of ball-screens."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - May 30th: "Tyler Smith didn't shoot as well at the combine as the Ignite highlights and numbers suggest he could. It won't mean much unless he struggles through workouts. Shotmaking is the main draw to Smith, who measured 6'9" with a 7'1" wingspan."

Kevin O'Connor - The Ringer - March 18th: "A versatile frontcourt player with shooting and defensive upside."

Jeff Zillgitt and Scooby Axson - USA Today - March 12th: "Definition of a stretch 4 and as a lefty, he can pick his spots and extend shooting range beyond free-throw line. Ability to space floor, but improvement on defensive end could set him apart from other bigs in this draft class."
