2025 Draft Profile - Ace Bailey

The Ringer - May 27th: "He looks more like an NBA wing than perhaps anyone else in this draft, with the height and wingspan to thrive at the next level, but it’s his head-to-toe flexibility that truly makes his scoring stand out. He’s lean and rubbery and has narrow shoulders, and although his hands are on the smaller side, he has nice mobility for his size."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - May 23rd: "He's a big wing and talented shot-maker with tremendous size and athleticism."

NBA Draft Room - May 22nd: "While there’s a chance he’s just an oversized Andrew Wiggins I think he’s got a level of athleticism and shot-making ability that will separate him from the pack and make him a star in the league. I’m not sure if he’ll set the NBA on fire from day one but a few years from now the league better watch out."

Kevin O'Connor - Yahoo! Sports - May 12th: "Harper is a big-bodied lefty combo guard with NBA blood in his veins, as the son of Ron Harper, who was a 20/5/5 guy before winning five titles as a role player. Like his father, Harper has a high-floor with the skill, poise, and playmaking instincts to dictate the game at his pace."

NBA Draft Room - March 22nd: "Bailey flashes incredible upside and when things are going well for him he looks as talented as any prospect in the world. But there are still too many moments of inconsistent play, inefficient shooting and questionable decision making."

Jeremy Woo - ESPN - March 13th: "He is viewed as more of a project and one who will require careful, hands-on development to succeed -- but there's no player in this draft who can score the way he does. Bailey's predraft process will be pivotal in persuading teams he can discover the consistency needed to be a star at the next level."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - March 12th: "The size, scoring and sensational athleticism of Bailey makes him one of the most exciting prospects in this class. He needs to sharpen some of the passing and handling in his game but the ability to get a bucket is incomparable with any in this class."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - March 11th: "There has been debate inside scouting circles, mostly around the potential effects of his weaknesses and whether they're overstated. Even with a role that asks for scoring and allows for shot-hunting, the tape behind the 8.3 assist percentage still shows tunnel vision and off-target passes when pressured."

USA Today - March 11th: "Bailey is a hyper-athletic wing with length and size coming into a league that prioritizes players built exactly the way he is with exactly the skill set he has: an effortless and reliable shot and an attack-first mentality with an ability to finish at the rim."
