Position: PG/SG
Team: Ulm (ISR)
Class: Intl.

2025 Draft Profile - Ben Saraf

The Ringer - May 27th: "Generating separation as a ball handler is king, and despite how effective Saraf has been at getting to the rim in Europe, there will be questions about how he’ll create his advantages in the NBA. (He has good size on paper but often plays smaller than his listed height, which could limit his viability as a wing on either side of the ball.)"

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - May 23rd: "Saraf is an Israeli guard who has acquitted himself well overseas as a scorer and playmaker at just 18 years old this season, and he's crafty in using his smarts to find open teammates."

NBA Draft Room - May 22nd: "Crafty and fun to watch, Saraf is a play-maker through and through. He’s not a super quick athlete but plays with good change of pace, can really handle the rock and has a knack for hitting tough shots from difficult angles."

Kevin O'Connor - Yahoo! Sports - May 12th: "Saraf is a crafty lefty playmaker who relies on guile, footwork and body control. Limited shooting and athleticism could cap his upside, but his positional size and skill could be hard to pass up."

NBA Draft Room - March 22nd: "A skilled finisher and scorer with good size and strength. Can play on or off the ball and has natural point guard instincts."

Jonathan Giovany - ESPN - March 13th: "After a strong start to the season, Saraf hit a bit of a lull, struggling with turnovers and poor outside shooting for both Ulm and the Israeli national team. NBA teams love Saraf's size (6-6), feel for the game and creativity, but have mixed views on his ability to play a primary shot-creation role with his lack of explosiveness."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - March 12th: "Saraf is an Israeli guard who has acquitted himself well overseas as a scorer and playmaker at just 18 years old. He has good positional size and plays with craft to make up for his lack of burst."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - March 11th: "Questions about his lack of three-point volume and shot mechanics, lack of explosion and weak defensive tools may keep teams from picturing too much upside. But at some point once the big one-and-done names are off the board, Saraf figures to interest teams that believe the rim pressure he's currently providing, his creativity and shotmaking, and the IQ behind a 34.1 assist percentage are advanced enough for an NBA rotational guard."

USA Today - March 11th: "He’s just as comfortable knocking down a step-back jumper, finding creases in the paint and dishing the ball with excellent vision. He may need some time to develop as he adjusts to NBA athletes, but his length and size at point guard will make him an intriguing prospect."
