Class: Freshman

2025 Draft Profile - Dylan Harper

The Ringer - May 27th: "Harper plays a patient game, and while he lacks top-end speed, he parcels out his short-area quickness in small, syncopated bursts. There is always an intent behind his dribbles, his footwork, his feints and hesitations."

NBA Draft Room - May 22nd: "Harper is exactly what you want in a NBA guard with his great size and strength, feel for the game, scoring prowess and ability to make plays for teammates. I think he’s as pro-ready as any guard in recent years and should put up numbers right away."

Kevin O'Connor - Yahoo! Sports - May 12th: "Harper is a big-bodied lefty combo guard with NBA blood in his veins, as the son of Ron Harper, who was a 20/5/5 guy before winning five titles as a role player. Like his father, Harper has a high-floor with the skill, poise, and playmaking instincts to dictate the game at his pace."

NBA Draft Room - March 22nd: "Harper has had an awesome season despite playing on a really bad Rutgers team. He’s a no.1 overall type of talent and is a near lock to go no.2 in June."

Jeremy Woo - ESPN - March 13th: "He has a blend of size, strength and intuitive playmaking that makes him attractive to any team in need of a perimeter creator. While Harper isn't viewed as a likely challenger to Flagg at No. 1, he presents an excellent option for whichever team lands the second pick in the lottery."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - March 12th: "The son of former NBA player Ron Harper, Dylan is a two-way star for Rutgers, averaging the sixth-most points among all Big Ten players as an 18-year-old (he turned 19 in early March). He's a lead guard prospect with creative qualities both as a shot-maker and shot-creator for others."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - March 11th: "Dylan Harper's downhill game, elite finishing package, shotmaking production and defensive playmaking have widened the gap between him and the next-best ball-handler. Teams won't nitpick the 3.9 assists per game, given his team's need for offense and Harper's effectiveness creating, his team's need for scoring and the NBA's appeal to ball-handlers who can take over stretches of a game."

USA Today - March 11th: "The lefty stroke will remind some of Jalen Brunson, but Harper has far more size at 6-6 and tremendous length with a wingspan of 6-foot-10. Harper’s best asset at the next level might be his versatility to run point and play off the ball."
