Position: C
Team: Cedevita (France)
Class: Intl.

2025 Draft Profile - Joan Beringer

The Ringer - May 27th: "You’ll be hard-pressed to find footage of him taking a jump shot from any distance, and there are very few instances of him wheeling and dealing from any position as a passer. At this point, he’s a rim-running screener and a lurker in the short corner when other plays are unfolding, but he rarely deviates from those actions because he does them well."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - May 23rd: "Beringer is a frontcourt prospect with a 7-4 wingspan who provides defensive versatility and the ability to rim-protect. Is he ready to contribute in the NBA next season? Probably not."

NBA Draft Room - May 22nd: "He moves like a big time NBA player and it’s clear that he’s just scratching the surface of his potential. He has a chance to develop into an elite defender, like a souped-up Joakim Noah or what Nerlens Noel could have been if he was blessed with an extra 30lbs of muscle."

Kevin O'Connor - Yahoo! Sports - May 12th: "Beringer began playing basketball only three years ago, which means he's a raw project but also makes his natural talents all the more impressive. He’s a center but has the quickness of a guard, giving him immense defensive versatility to build on for years to come."

NBA Draft Room - March 22nd: "An intriguing upside prospect with NBA level tools but will take some time to develop. Beringer has a chance to be a really good defender thanks to his awesome athleticism and great frame."

Jonathan Giovany - ESPN - March 13th: "Beringer continues to draw a significant audience of NBA decision-makers to Ljubljana, Slovenia, and just had one of his most impactful games of the season with a dominant defensive display in the EuroCup playoffs. Beringer's agility covering ground on the perimeter and rotating to protect the rim gives him significant versatility to tap into long term, helping him post the highest block percentage of any projected draft pick on either side of the ocean."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - March 11th: "Potentially one of the youngest players in the 2025 draft, Joan Beringer has entered the conversation with his 8.5 block percentage and sequences defending in space. He's also scoring more lately, using his physical tools to finish plays off dump-downs, drives to the basket and missed shots."

USA Today - March 11th: "Beringer has gained traction among NBA scouts and executives as a mobile big man who can run the pick-and-roll as a screener on offense and guard the pick-and-roll. He doesn’t have a lot of experience but his potential – especially as a rim protector – has made him a first-round prospect."
