2025 Draft Profile - Kon Knueppel
The Ringer - May 27th: "High-level floor spacers who can knock down shots from beyond the arc in a variety of ways do not typically come in a brawny, bully-ball body type, but Knueppel has a chance to be one of the best of a rare bunch. He won’t consistently splash shots moving side to side with a phone booth’s worth of space, but he’s a major threat after setting a screen, and he’s money spotting up as a spacer (47 percent on spot-up 3s on the season)."Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - May 23rd: "He shot 40.6% from 3-point range as a freshman next to Cooper Flagg and rated in the 90th percentile as a jump shooter and 92nd percentile as a catch-and-shoot weapon. High-floor prospect with All-Star potential."
NBA Draft Room - May 22nd: "While Kon might end up as an elite role player I see some star/All Star potential here as well. He’s a lethal off the ball player who will benefit from NBA spacing, especially if he’s playing next to a ball-dominant player."
Kevin O'Connor - Yahoo! Sports - May 12th: "Knueppel brings more than just a sharpshooter’s stroke, thanks to his brainy pick-and-roll playmaking and crafty scoring feel. He’s got a slick midrange bag and strength scoring inside, but to become a player who takes over games he’ll need to overcome his average athleticism."
NBA Draft Room - March 22nd: "Can really light it up from outside and is one of the best shooting prospects in this year’s draft. He doesn’t have blow by speed but uses his size and strength to move defenders and uses ball fakes well."
Jonathan Giovany - ESPN - March 13th: "Knueppel is in the middle of a highly productive, efficient season as Duke's second-leading scorer (13.7 points per game) and most prolific outside shooter. He handles a steady share of Duke's shot-creation duties, playing an intelligent, mistake-free, team-oriented style that should translate well to any setting."
Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - March 12th: "He can do it all as a guard on offense, plays great team defense, and is especially dynamic as a shooter; Synergy Sports data rates him in the 88th percentile as a jump shooter and in the 82nd percentile on catch and shoots."
Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - March 11th: "Teams may have a tough time buying a shot-creator, which limits possibilities when it comes to upside. He figures to wind up with a team that's looking to fill a need or hole with shooting, high-IQ play and instant results."
USA Today - March 11th: "He can ignite an offense with his 3-point shot, thanks to an efficient motion, seemingly always ready to receive the ball in his shooting pocket. He can also lace shots from midrange, takes care of the ball and is money on free throws."
