Nolan Traore
Ht/Wt: 6' 3" / 175 lbs
Position: PG/SG
Team: Saint-Quentin (FRA)
Class: Intl.

2025 Draft Profile - Nolan Traore

The Ringer - May 27th: "There might not be a player in the draft better equipped to turn the corner on a screen, bending his way around the defense. Traore has a strong understanding of the dynamic between his quickness and the attention of the defense, too."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - May 23rd: "He's crafty with the ball in his hands."

NBA Draft Room - May 22nd: "I have this nagging suspicion that I’ll look back on this ranking in five years and kick myself for not having him in the top 10. Part of this relatively low ranking is Traore’s inconsistent play this year but some of it has to do with how many other talented prospects there are in this range."

Kevin O'Connor - Yahoo! Sports - May 12th: "Traoré oozes upside with his size, blazing speed and shiftiness off the bounce. But he’s an inefficient scorer who needs to improve his erratic decision-making to prove he’s worth the big swing."

NBA Draft Room - March 22nd: "Traore is a high level point guard prospect who can do it all; pass the rock, push the pace, hit the 3 and defend on the ball. He excels at getting into the lane and shows flashes of shot-making."

Jonathan Giovany - ESPN - March 13th: "The 18-year-old has taken some lumps in an outsized role, struggling with perimeter shooting, decision-making and physicality on both ends. But he seems to be playing his best basketball lately and still has his team positioned to make the playoffs, providing another two-plus months of opportunity to be evaluated long after the college basketball season is complete."

Kyle Boone - CBS Sports - March 12th: "Traore hasn't lived up to billing as a potential top-five prospect in this class but I'm still bullish on the talent. He plays a confident style with the ball in his hands and has enough playmaking to help in part offset some of his struggles with turnovers and shooting."

Jonathan Wasserman - Bleacher Report - March 11th: "Scouts still have questions about his shooting and touch, with Traore at 28.2 percent on threes, 71.0 percent on free throws and 31.8 percent on floaters. But he has good command with his handle to capitalize when the defense gives something up."

USA Today - March 11th: "Traore is a point guard who can score and pass and has court awareness but also a propensity for bad turnovers. He’s quick, can get to the rim and is comfortable taking his defender off the dribble."

* - The San Antonio Spurs receive the Chicago Bulls 2025 1st round pick (top 10 protected in 2025, top 8 in 2026 and 2027, else a 2028 2nd round pick), a 2025 2nd round pick, Thaddeus Young, Al-Farouq Aminu, and a 2022 2nd round pick (Kennedy Chandler at #38) for DeMar DeRozan.
