2025 NBA Draft Results - Round 1
The 2025 NBA Draft will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, marking the second consecutive year the event spans two nights. The first round takes place on Wednesday, June 25, with coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN.
The second round follows on Thursday, June 26, also starting at 8 p.m. ET, and will be broadcast on ESPN platforms. This year's draft will feature 59 picks instead of the usual 60, due to a penalty assessed to the New York Knicks.
The Dallas Mavericks hold the first overall pick after an unexpected lottery win, with Duke's Cooper Flagg widely projected as the top selection.

# 11 and # 16- Memphis acquires the rights to Cedric Coward from Portland for the No. 16 pick (Hansen Yang), 2028 1st round pick (ORL), and two 2nd round picks.
# 13 and # 23 - Atlanta trades the rights to Derik Queen (# 13) to New Orleans for a 2025 1st round pick (# 23 - rights to Asa Newell) and a 2026 1st round pick (most favorable of New Orleans and Milwaukee).
# 18 and #21- Utah acquires the rights to Walter Clayton Jr. from Washington for No. 21 (rights to Will Riley), a 2025 2nd round pick (# 43), 2031 2nd round pick and a 2032 2nd round pick.
# 24 - Sacramento acquires the rights to Nique Clifford from Oklahoma City for a 2027 1st round pick (via SA and top 16 protected.
# 29 - Charlotte acquires the rights to Liam McNalley, 2029 1st round pick, and Vasilije Micic for Mark Williams.

# 10 - The Phoenix Suns re-acquire their 2025 from Houston with Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and five 2nd round picks for Kevin Durant. The Houston Rockets received the Phoenix Suns 2025 1st round pick (via BK), 2027 1st round pick, 2029 1st round pick (most favorable of DAL, HOU, and PHO), 2029 1st round pick (second most favorable or DAL, HOU, and PHO) for relinquishing reights to swap 2025 1st round picks (HOU, OKC) picks with the Brooklyn, and the Nets 2026 1st round pick. # 17 - The Minnesota Timberwolves receive the Detroit Pistons 2025 1st round pick (top 13 protected, top 11 in 2026, top 9 in 2027, else a 2027 2nd round pick) (via NYK, OKC and HOU), Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo and Keita Bates-Diop for Karl-Anthony Town, and a 2025 2nd round pick in three team trade that involved Charlotte and New York.
